Pass-Around Registration
Simply register a Pass-Around software program. When you register, you
are assigned a personal registration number which you enter into your
copy of the program. Each time you share that program with a friend and
they register, your number will appear on their registration form. When
we receive that form or get the numbers by phone, your account is
credited $5.00.
Registered users are paid monthly, by the 10th of the following month.
Envision Software does not claim that any money will result from
registration. There are no guarantees of any kind.
Envision Software has incorporated SELF-CHECK(tm) into every
Pass-Around program. SELF-CHECK(tm) is a revolutionary way of
protecting our software from viruses. If a Pass-Around program
catches a virus, the next time you run it, it will tell you. All your
programs should have SELF-CHECK(tm).

Speed-Learning allows you to enter a "Main" word and an "Alt"
(alternate) word. This is useful for drilling states and capitals,
foreign language vocabulary, events and dates, and others. One
alternate can be entered per entry. The "Alt" word is signified by the
Carret sign " ^ " (the character above the "6" key). Enter the carret
before the "Alt" word. In the example below, SUNDAY is the "Main" word
and SONNTAG is the "Alt" word. See F1-Setup Options for information
on selecting the "Main" or the "Alt" word as the default.
SUNDAY
^SONNTAG
B-BEGIN DRILL
Enter the number of words you wish to be drilled on. A word will
then flash on the screen. Type in the word you saw. If you wish to
drill "Alt" words, be sure to indicate this in the Setup Options
section of the program.
You can adjust the flash speed by pressing the [F2] function key.
F1-Setup Options
Press the [F1] function key to bring up the Setup Options screen.
Use the arrow keys to place the cursor on the option of your choice.
Starting word #
Indicate which of the list entries you would like to begin
drilling with. For long lists, it is best to drill in portions.
For example, start a list of 100 with 1 and end with 25 (see
Ending word #). Then, drill 26 through 50, and so on.
Ending word #
Indicate which of the list entries you would like to end with.
Note: each list entry has a number which is displayed in the lower
right side of the screen in the "Edit/Add" section of the
program.
Uppercase/Lowercase (Uppercase/Lowercase)
Select Uppercase if you would like all keystrokes during the drill
to be entered in uppercase characters. Select Lowercase if you
would like character cases to be entered as typed in the
"Enter/Add" section of the program.
Help Line (On/Off)
The Help Line scrolls across a small window toward the bottom of
the screen. It provides helpful information which pertains to the
part of the program you are currently working on. To activate
this help line, select On. To deactivate it, select Off.
Flash Word (Main/Alt)
Select Main if you would like the "Main" word to flash or Alt if
you would like the "Alt" word to flash. Select Main if your list
does not contain alternate words (indicated with a " ^ " before
the word. See the "Edit/Add" section of this manual for more
information on "Alt" words and their use.)
Correct Answer (Main only/Alt only/Either)
Select Main if the only accepted answer is the "Main" word, Alt
if the only accepted answer is the "Alt" word, or Either if
either the "Main" or the "Alt" words are accepted as correct
answers.
Data Drive (A-F) (Default/A-F)
Enter the drive letter where you would like the program to save
and retrieve data from your word list(s). Select Default if your
data is to be saved and retrieved from the same drive where the
program was started from.
Alt. Keys (NONE/GERMAN/SPANISH)
The [Alt] key is used to type in foreign characters.
Speed-Learning can display German and Spanish characters using the
[Alt] key. Select the appropriate language or None to disable the
[Alt] key from entering foreign characters. If German or Spanish
is selected, the foreign character (if one exists) for each letter
can be typed in by holding down the [Alt] key and pressing the
appropriate letter.
Alphabetize (No/Yes)
Word List entries are displayed in random order. To narrow your
drill down to words that begin with a certain letter, select Yes
for this option and then set the Starting and Ending # options to
contain the first letter of your choice.
NOTE: Once a list is alphabetized, it is saved in this format.
However, you can save an alphabetized list under a different name
to preserve the order of the original Word List.
F2-FLASH SPEED
Press the [F2] function key to adjust the flash speed from 1 to 999.
100 is one second and 900 is 9 seconds.

ABOUT PASS-AROUND
PASS-AROUND SPEED LEARNING is NOT a public domain or free program! It
is being distributed as Pass-Around.
Pass-Around distribution gives users a chance to
try software before buying it. If you try a
Pass-Around program and continue using it, you are
expected to register. With registration, you get a
Pass-Around Kit which includes: distribution disks,
printed manual, Pass-Around newsletter and a guide
on how to upload software onto bulletin boards.
Copyright laws apply to both Pass-Around and
commercial software, and the copyright holder
retains all rights, with a few specific exceptions
as stated below. The main difference is in the
method of distribution. Pass-Around specifically
grants the right to copy and distribute the
software. For those who charge a fee for a
Pass-Around product an "Authorized Pass-Around
Distributor" sticker must be on that disk.
Registration licenses you to use PASS-AROUND SPEED LEARNING. Any
unregistered use other than trial use to determine if PASS-AROUND SPEED
LEARNING meets your needs is a violation of our license agreement and
is forbidden.
The PASS-AROUND SPEED LEARNING license authorizes use of one copy of
PASS-AROUND SPEED LEARNING on one machine at a time. If you have
multiple computers, either standalone, networked, or multi-user, you
need to register one copy of PASS-AROUND SPEED LEARNING for each
workstation on which it will be used.
